Just to add to the rumours:
I played the slant rotary 4 valved version in college (some 25+ years ago) and LOVED the horn. I hear the college still is using them. I had heard they were made my Willson.
I recently borrowed a old Marzan 4 valved, front action piston model (19" bell)from a local high school. I was told by a very reputable source that it was likely the model made by Bohm & Meinl (bought by Walter Nirschl). Also a very nice horn if it were in great shape.
