Colin has made promises like this before. I stopped in at their New York store, (a story in itself...everyone should see it once) and asked if they ever considered reissuing the Bower Murphy-Constance Weldon Advanced Tuba Etudes. This was a wonderful etude book. They announced that since I'd asked for it they'd send me a copy and put it out again. Of course I found that a bit odd and didn't quite believe it even at the time. I contacted them again a few months later about it (via e-mail) and they basically gave me the brush-off. It's too bad because they published many wonderful things for brass and the typesetting was beautiful in those books. I guess they need to do what they must to stay in business. I'd gladly buy a case of the Murphy etudes for use with my students.
