Sure it will. All the Deg stand is is a tripod base on the end of a tube that has a second tube inside that slides to the desired height and locks with a set screw. On to of the second tube there is a padded plate to support and protect to bow. You still have to hold the tuba, but it doesn't have to be on you lap. The tripod base folds up and the slide pushes in so that it all fits neatly in the padded case. It's a very simple device, but it does a good job of supporting the weight of the horn.
