There was a semi final round, finals A round (9 people) and finals B round (3 people - Mike Roylance, Steve Rosse, Steve Campbell). After all three finalists had played, the committee announced that results would be pending until they heard another auditionee - Rex Martin - at a private audition (notice this happened on April 1st). When the private audition occured, the position was not offered. As of this time, a reaudition will occur at a later date, possibly (but not certainly) involving only selected finalists from the previous audition. I also believe this year's audition was Seiji Ozawa's last chance to participate.
