Two really interesting and challenging pieces which are off the beaten track:
Andre Previn "Four Outings For Brass" With the success of Previn's opera (Streetcar) we are finding that people want to hear this one again. It's a jazz influenced piece with fairly dissonant harmony.
John Taverner "Trisagion" Thrice holy in Greek. The Byzantine plainchant always comes back between the very strange but brilliant variations. Available in the UK from musicroom.com
