i think a lot depends on the fit to the player. I played a 2155 for about a year, then picked out a great 2145 - many people i play with commented that the sound i got out of the 2145 seemed just as big as what i got out of the 2155...On the boston pops xmas tour, i used my 2145 and got many positive comments on sound...
