I think Dave was comparing the BBb 190 to the 191 with the specs he mentioned. The 191 has a larger bell and bore than the 186, but is a shorter tuba. I find it to have a sound consistent with what you say you are looking for. When I have played them side by side I didn't find that much of a difference, but I did prefer the 191. I haven't spent that much time on them, but I would think that the 191 would give you what you are looking for.
