Here's a photo of the new King in Satin silver. It's hard to see in a photo, but the new satin silver finish on UMI horns has a much rougher texture than on older horns. The older ones look like a brushed finish while the new ones look like a pebble finish. Even so, I bought mine in satin because I wanted silver and I like the finish better than the look of all the fingerprints on bright silver.
I have tried the King and the VMI side by side. I bought the King. I liked both of them, but I found the King spoke easier for me and had a more precise sound. I thought that the VMI sounded a little muddy. Of course your experience may be different, so you really should try to find a way to try them yourself. The dealer from whom I bought it sells both, and the King was less money, but they agreed that the King was better for me.
I haven't tried the Getzen, so can't comment on it.
