Maybe you're busting your buns to keep your kids in college, but at least feel proud that you're helping them. My parents didn't do jack to help me through school, from which I graduate next Saturday. Then again, I don't feel beholden to them, so I think there's some value there. Hmm.
Maybe you should just pawn your kids' furniture, and steal their keys to the house. Self-reliance! No more of those namby-pamby excuses like, "I don't have any money for food!", or "I can't feel my legs", or "What are you doing with that red-hot poker?" Please, if I told you in advance, it wouldn't be nearly as terrifying.
