I've NEVER sat down and just played scales! Maybe I should.. then I might understand where the 'JS's' and Klauss's of the world are coming from. Maybe that's the primary difference between us blatters and farters and the ones on this BBS who 'take things seriously'. Is there anything dreadfully wrong with playing the tuba just for fun and occassionally asking a stupid question or two? After all... you 'smart guys' need a few really stupid folks around to make yourselves look good. I play six or seven days a week... mostly benefits, community bands, hospitals, nursing homes, and the like... just for fun. Lighten up guys.... have a little fun!
