We laugh because it looks so crazy and at the fact that we could never be good enough to play it. We're not downing the piece, we just get a real kick out of such wild and modern notation. I would love to hear a recording of it if you know where we could find one. It's easier to comprehend when we can read French and hear what it is supposed to sound like.
