I own one of the Miraphone rotary euphs with 5 valves (circa 1970??). It is a true euphonium with the bore increasing throughout the valve section. The 5 valves give the intonation & pedal combinations flexibility of a 5 valve tuba and permits slide adjustment like a tuba. The miraphone is solid and 'tight' throughout all dynamics. If you can find one, check the intonation & good luck!
