I recently got one of these in the mail. Here is what I think:

Well finished with a comfortable rim.

Nice open throat takes a good volume of air.

Clear version allows some "visualization" although not quite as good as the more expensive clear mouthpieces.

For circa $30, you really can't go wrong. The sound is nearly ientical to a metal mouthpiece through all registers, except the low end of the horn, where your chops are slapping the inside of the mouthpiece. Because the plastic has a little more "grip" then plated mouthpieces, it feels a little smaller than it looks. These would be good for cold outdoor gigs, but there not that bad for "legit" stuff also. The fact that it is nearly indestructable makes it a good "gig" mouthpiece. As well, for those guys who double on other instruments, you can at least pick up a horn with a room temperature mouthpiece. After some extended playing the mouthpiece felt a little hotter than what I'm used to, but not uncomfortable.

I figure $30 isn't a big risk for what looks to be a fairly well engineered product.
