Fill the instrument completely with water with some glow-in-the-dark dye added. Get a piece of sheet brass about 22" square and completely seal off the bell by soldering on this piece of sheet brass to the bell rim. Due to all of the water, it will require a particularly hot torch. Also, solder the mouthpiece receiver shut in the same manner.

As soon as N.A.S.A. feels comfortable that they have solved their current problems, hire them to take the old leaky tuba (completely full of this special water) on one of their missions. You can pay additional charges to get this project "bumped up" in the schedule. During a spacewalk, one of the astronauts can take the old worn tuba into space with a Papermate pen (writes upside down - even in space) to record their observations of all of the places this glow-in-the-dark water is rushing out of the instrument into the vacuum of space.
