Carole, we need to get some of those photos in circulation somehow. And we need to get Bob Rusk to write a book, or at least an outline with salient facts. I know that you are really into a lot of the oral history, and I wonder what we have already that isn't in circulation. My fear is that we'll put it off until the sources are no longer available. Even now, we have access to people who studied under Bell, but eventually we will lose that resource.
I would love to see a series of orchestra photos from the 1800's through the 1950's or so. There is much we could learn about the progression of instruments with just a glance at those pictures.
