I have a YEB 632 which gets just a huge sound. I wound up replacing my CC tuba with it, because I could get the same volume and quality of sound out down low. It is more flexible up high. I think Dillon has one of these used for about $4K. The only other Eb I played that could do what the yamaha did was the Willson, but the Wilson did not fit me ergonomically and it weighed a ton. the only bad thing I have run accross w/ the yamaha was getting used to the left hand fourth valve, but consistant clarke studies practice has pretty much cleared that up. I have had my yamaha since august. I have used it in bands, quintets and more recently an orchestra. Everyone has always been impressed with the amt and quality of sound I can get from the horn.
