Brent Dutton uses a Besson Eb (981) for everything (quintet, orchestra, etc).
He has been using this same model instrument for his entire career.
I've never heard or seen him have any trouble holding his own in any
ensemble. I don't think it's the horn. You can hear him practicing down the street.
His neighbors love it.
