I played the BBb version at the Miraphone display at Midwest, and really really liked it. One of the things they said had been improved was a seamless and smooth 5th valve which does not make its use obvious--the tone, color, and core sound all were very satisfactory. Matt Walters had mentioned that if a person were looking for a great CC-bang-for-the-buck, this horn was worth waiting for.

It appears that if I can get access to the CC to test-drive, and it is all the BBb is, I'll purchase that horn. (Now, to avoid the CCvBBb controversy, all I can say is that as a euphonium 1st/tuba 2nd guy, I really DO find the thinking-fingering-reading easier on a CC horn--probably because of those formative and impressionable years of reading baritone treble clef which still to this day rears its ugly transposing head from time to time:O) )
