I think it is a little bit to early to get a tuba for you just because it is such a huge investment and that for all you know you could change intrests when high school hits. I would suggest waiting until the end of high school or later to get it. It is a worth while ivestment if you are sure thats what you want but if it isn't then your out a good couple thousand of dollars. I am a high school senior who just bought a horn so I know that it is a tough choice on whether to buy one or not. Just my opinion though and best of luck.
