I use a PT88+ as my preferred mouthpiece at present. It helps me get a good, true sound on the two tubas I am using it on. I haven't tried the PT88, so I haven't experienced the difference between the two.
If I remember correctly from Custom Music's website, the PT88 has the same internal dimensions as the PT88+, however the PT88+ has thicker side walls that give additional good effects to the sound. Someone please correct me, if I'm wrong.
