I currently play a PT88 on my Yorkbrunner and I love it. I recently tried the PT88+ and I had ony played about 10 notes and my wife (also a professional musician) yelled from two rooms away: "It makes you sound French!" - meaning the sound was too bright for me. Other heavy wall mouthpieces seem to darken the sound but this one was an exception. It brightened the sound rather a lot and the feel was quite different. Not in a good way.
Needless to say, one of my students is now using this mouthpiece on his Conn.
