Try putting the mouthpeice in the tuba. I honestly don't feel that buzzing is an assimilation of what acctually happens when playing the tuba. You are on the right track with the corners of your mouth though. I feel that every harmonic has a certain position for each persons mouth. mouth position will be determined by the harmonic that is above that note. If the note that is twitching is a D in the bass clef try using the mout position that you use for the e above it. In other words use the exact same mouth(embrouchere)position and stick with it. Know exactly what each lip is doing and try to recreate that position each time you play the d or the e. If you are twitching on the d chances are you will be twitching on the e aswell. Twitching means you need to change you mouth position. It might also be the horn. Have another tuba player try the horn to see if those notes are twitching for him to.
