As far as my level of information goes, everything is identical on the post-WWII Brits and the modern dittos. Except for the leadpipes and the bells. This at least should go for the euphs and the upright Eb's 981 and 982. I am less sure about the 980 and the 983. the BBb models have undergone a rewrapping sometime since 1990 leading to a shorter bell.

Ken k should know something about this. He had a 981 leadpipe mounted on an older, smaller belled Eb. As I remember his reports, he is quite satisfied with the exchange.

Maybe you cannot get a frosty silver modern bow. But I would count that as a minor problem.
