A very successful annual show is the Harvey Phillips Northwest Big Brass Bash http://www.hpnwbbb.org/ that takes place the weekend after July 4 at various spots in the Pacific Northwest. They have 125-150 people there every year. The formula is that they rehearse then play a concert in a local park. There are recitals (student and adult) and there are two guest performers each year. A few of those in charge lurk here - tell more about it!
