I have forgotten the term of the technique by which ie. the inside flare of fiber sousaphones can be marked with the makers name and logo. It is some sort of thin layer tranferred to the bell surface. I have seen it on King and Yamaha sousaphones. Yamahas used on the bells of some of its larger lacquered brasses as well.
I will never find the term in a dictionary.
