I have a MW182 and have used it in quintet. Generally, I think its a tad too small in quintet. It covers the range fine and it can be loud enough. Some people will like the lighter sound.

I personally like a little fuller/ warmer sound in quintets. A bigger F, such as the MW 45(S,SLP,SLZ, etc) or the Yamaha YFB822 would be ideal if you are set on using an F. The 182 works, but it sounds, to me, a little too "direct."

I love my little 182 for solos (which I actually get to do) and I am really happy with my PT6 for the bigger stuff. However, I am left without that in between voice ideally suited for small ensembles. For me, a small CC appears to best fill that quintet gap.
