Well, to be fair you have to consider that Mr. Phillips invested a little (or perhaps a lot) of his own money for the rights to those LP's...certainly he should recoup the investment. Plus, he's probably also interested in maintaining the integrity of those recordings - which would include making sure that the CD releases of them are of the highest possibly quality. There, you have MORE expenses - remastering, pressing, art....
If the guy happens to make a few bucks for his trouble, more power to him. In the meantime we need to be patient and wait for them to come out. Just my opinion.
