Joe,

I have owned a PT-4 with the same problems. I called Custom and they said they could send me a longer tuning slide (although it would take about 4 mos.) During that time, I just played on the horn constantly and (as silly as this sounds) just got used to it. Practicing on my own and playing in groups, the pitch evened out. The more I played it, the easier it became and my sound improved as well. Its a difficult horn to 'learn'(i.e.- its not one of the horns you can pick up and it plays like a dream), but once you get used to it, there are few better (my opinion). So I would suggest just playin on it awhile and see what happens. Otherwise, like I said before, Custom Music would make you a longer tuning slide.

Russell
