When discussing the horn with Mr. Nirschl, he mentioned that he could make 100% handmade 4/4 CC tuba that for me (with a raw brass finish). The Price (As of April, 2001): $13,000. He specifically wanted the money in American dollars.

The horn I have now (with a silverplated finish), which is the WN-15 (also known as BM 5625), is probably at least 80% handmade. I don't know which parts were machined and which were hammered, but all in all the horn plays wonderfully.

Had I had the money at the time, I probably would've bought the 100% handmade horn, but I'm extremely happy with the quality of the instrument that I got.
