Yeah, I remember a big scam where Weril euphonium owners would remove the valve sections from their instruments and report it to their insurance companies.
Once the insurance companies discovered that Weril does not sell valvesets, the insurance providers were forced to pay these felonous instrument owners the cost of a new instrument. Once done, these criminal baritonists would resolder the valve sections on to their instruments and sell them on internet auctions without revealing the instruments' histories on baritones.com
