In my (limited) experience playing indoors, outdoors, anywhere - I see people on all sides struggling with folding contraptions, teetering lightweight stands, and feeble desks. My Voyager just stands there and holds the music.

Yes, it's a bit big (because the desk is solid).

Yes, the bag could use one continuous strip of Velcro, instead of the three pieces that allow for gaps that small items can fall through (some day I'll have mine modified).

On the upside of the case, it's a great place to carry the music (with the desk, of course) and just about everything else you need. I use this less often now that I use a gig bag - but I found it very useful when carrying my horn in a hard case with little storage room.

The important thing is that once you take it out of the case and set it up, it's rock-solid. And that's job 1 when playing outdoors.
