Yes, the PT-36 is *extremely* funnel shaped. I too play on a PT-6(rotor) with a PT-88 and have been very very pleased with that setup, especially in an orchestral setting. I can't imagine liking my PT-6 the way I do with any other mouthpiece. Interestingly enough when I tried out the PT-36 on my horn I remember not liking it at all. The sound that it seemed to want to create was not in sync with what I was interested in. I guess this is just another case where the familiar maxim 'to each her/his own' applies.
