I think what he may have meant was, are the fingerings the same AFTER you take the transposition into account? In other words, are the fingering sequences the same for all tubas, regardless of their home key. But then again, only he can clarify that if that was his original question. Either way, here's the answer: No - especially when you get into the extended low notes. The best way to find the right fingerings is to first work with a good teacher, and then experiment on your own while using a electronic tuner (or a piano that's very well in tune)
