As a tubist, I often double on eupho. I sounds like you have been using too much pressure on the mpc of the eupho. Due to the thin rim of most bass trombone mpcs, any excessive pressure that you use will do a lot more damage to your chops than what a tuba mpc would. I would suggest swapping to a mpc with a thicker rim, and more importantly, try to minimise the pressure. Hope this helps!
