Easy...Best F tuba I've ever played! BUT...it's very dark. Too dark. If I had the cash I'd buy one, but I'd start saving my money right away to buy one of the little tiny MW F's as well.
I think the 45slp would be great for about 90% of what you would need it for. The things I would not want to try would be stuff like Bydlo, Midsummer Night's Dream, Flute Music, etc. The one I played had a really tough high Ab. It could be made to work, but I don't know for sure.
The one thing I wish I could have tried was a bunch of different mouthpieces. I think if I found one small enough, I might have been able to make things a little brighter. I donno. My vote is for the horn...its just easy to play. I'd much rather spend my time making the horn sound the way I want it to rather than makeing the horn sound. (Anyone who has played a PT-10 can understand!) :)
