I also own a Conn 26K 3 valve Eb Sousaphone. I played it as my only (working) horn for the past year. I agree that it has good projection. It is a nice parade horn. Doesn't get down low as easily as a BBb sousy, but it does the upper line on the marches very nicely. I played it in the town band and it was fine for everything except Amparita Roca. I never could do that fast bit near the end which is written all below the bass clef staff. Always had to take it up an octave. Of course, your mileage may vary.

If you get it and need bits, or a gooseneck, or even a new bell, call Matt at Dillon's. He has more rabbits in that hat than I would care to guess.
