For several years I played a 3/4 Rudy in the Army Brass Quintet. I was very happy with it, especially its sound. The only complaint I had was with the valves. They seemed to always need work of some kind or another. Now I'm playing a B&S PT-3 with piston valves. I'm very happy with it, but I would still recommend the Rudy as well.
