Dear Prospective Buyer:

Enclosed please find a photo of the York CC tuba about which you inquired. The tuba was made in the 1930's. The tuba belongs to Eli Newberger of the "New Black Eagle Jazz Band." It is lacquered yellow brass, has 4 piston valves, has a .715" valve bore and a bell that is 20 inches in diameter. The bell inscription reads "York Band Inst. Co., Grand Rapids Michigan, USA. Recently, the valves were rebuilt by Osmun Brass. In the photo, the red stick laying next to the tuba is exactly 3 feet long to give you an idea of the tuba's size. There are no dents in the instrument and the lacquer is in superb condition save for some minor scratching on the back of the tuba at the bottom bow. The instrument has a fabulous York sound and comes with a padded, back pack gig bag. The asking price is $6,500.00. The buyer will pay all packing and shipping charges.
