Meeting my wife on that job was the only positive. It is without a doubt one of the most torturous summers I have experienced. All due to poor management, contract lies, and tyranical leadership.

There have been a number of big names go through though. I can still hear Boudreau bragging over and over about having Dale Clevenger under his baton. My first college teacher, Scott Watson, was on tour with Thomas Ashworth, a fantastic trombonist teaching at Minnesota, back in the late seventies or so. When Kelly O'Bryant, a college classmate, did it during a tour of Europe and Russia, he came back with some good experiences. I guess I hit a bad year.
