Also, if you pull your first and fourth slides for intonation purposes, now would be a good time to scrub them off and lube them up. Take the rough side on the back of an old sponge and vigorously scrub the dirt off the part of the slide that goes into the horn, then lube it up with some grease (Shilke grease or Lube Gel). Be sure that you don't use the rough side of a new sponge as this may damage the slide.
