I usually play a Besson Sovereign 967 Euphonium. I played in a concert yesterday using a new Prestige for the 1st hour. I then played play my sovereign for the second hour.
I tried to be objective in my comparison of the two instruments taking age of the instruments into account as well as other aspects.
My conclusion was that I prefrred to play the Sovereign. I can't see the value in the additional cost of the Prestige. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
The particular Prestige I was playing is about 4 weeks old and already the silver plating on the bell is begining to pit.
Have Besson lost the plot?
