The other suggestions have been excellent and you should try them.
However, I remember this came up somewhere at sometime in the past, and one participant offered up the idea of using nose oil, that is, the oil that naturally forms on the EXTERIOR of the human nose. Can't say I've tried it, but it is an interesting and cheap solution.
