I sell a low-cost linkage conversion set with parts made of brass, plastic, and stainless steel. Nothing stays in adjustment forever, but these are absolutely quiet when in adjustment, still pretty darn quiet when out of adjustment, and are incredibly easy to "touch up" back into adjustment. The parts, like I said, are fairly cheap. You must have access to know-how, whether it is your own or someone else's. Otherwise, roundtrip shipping to me and my labor charges could be considerable.
