Just to clarify for Henry: A CCC would be an octave below pedal CC(the lowest open note on a CC tuba). Yes.. acoustically this isn't much of a note as most textbooks will tell you it is impossible to hear. It's more important to be able to give the impression of the pitch.
To Joe: I would think that a CC with a double whole step fifth valve would be able to sympathetically vibrate at CCC. All five valves down.. maybe a little something pulled for good measure and eight lung fulls of air should do it just fine. I like to pretend(I emphasize *pretend*) that I can play this note but it only really sounds like much of anything if I do it in a large live room.
