I just bought a used Meinl-Weston model 30 4/4 CC. It's a slightly older horn; it has "Division of Getzen" on the bell, but it's recent enought that all of the valve slides are on the front of the horn. The only number I can find on the horn is a 2-digit number on top of one of the rotary valves.
Does anyone know where the serial numbers usually are on these horns? When I find the number (if the 2-digit number is not it), does anyone know where a list of manufacturing dates keyed to serial numbers might be?
