Being an EEb player I had a Besson Eb sousa for many years. I used it for all the things anyone would use a sousa for such as parades and strolling gigs. Typical of most Bessons it was built like a tank and was very heavy for an Eb, which I think gave the horn a great sound. The intonation was better than most horns. It just didn't have quite the fullness of tone found on a fullsized BBb. The horn is now for sale BTW. The guy I sold it to is looking to selling it.
