I heard from Riki McDonnell, euphoniumist in New Zealand, that he switched from the Sovereign 967 to the Prestige. He told me he absolutely LOVES it! He plans to use it on his next CD, "Spiritual Euphonium". When I first heard Riki on the euph, I would have bet money he was playing on a Willson because his tone is so rich and dark (was that redundundant?), but it was the Besson 967. He also says he uses a Wick 4AL mpc. So far he has 3 CD's out: "Midnight Euphonium" on the smaller bore (lead pipe); "Operatic Euphonium", and "Euphonium Songbook" on the larger bore leadpipe.

Is that trigger spring loaded to go all the way closed when you release pressure... or is there a stop for basic tuning?

Rick
