When faced with the problem your friend has for MS, I bought a Weril and have been very happy with it. I have played the MW 11 and 18 and think the Weril suits this purpose very well at somewhat less cost. The current DEG news has a photo set I put together with a small student and a larger person (me) both playing the Weril. The smaller person (4'9") is also shown with a larger horn and its attendent problems for someone her size. Dave Fedderly, Joe S. and a host of others sell Werils and you can get them for the cost of shipping - UPS, no less - for a trial.
