A good repairman will have your pistons replated and will hone your cylinders to fit them if necessary. The plater will build up copper plate to fill any scratches and pits prior to applying new nickel plate. The plater can easily restore your pistons to like new condition. If your cylinders are straight, smooth, and round you can simply have your pistons replated. Unless you have experience with precision measuring equipment, you should leave the job to a repairman.
