Heh, heh. I presented the arguments to my wife at dinner last night to get her reaction. I did not tell her my own bias, and she didn't know it because I never use either term in conversation. Here are her exact words:
"I hope you use 'tubist.' 'Too-bah-ist' sounds feminine and wishy-washy."
